Fires in the home still account for the greatest number of fire deaths and injuries each year.

Domestic

In October 2013, the National Assembly for Wales passed new regulations that require a fire sprinkler system to be installed in new and converted houses and flats.

With pressures following the tragedy of Grenfell Towers it is key for residential sprinklers to be installed wherever possible.

Social Housing

It is crucial that social housing is safe and sustainable for both the occupants and the building owners, by maintaining a high degree of safety from fire. The installation of domestic sprinklers will help to ensure a ‘home for life’.

We ensure that important work is completed in agreement with the occupants.

Landlords

As with local authority housing landlords have a responsibility to ensure that housing is safe and sustainable for their tenants.   The considerations and precautions to be taken by landlords are very challenging as are the range of rental properties on the market ranging from single occupancy households to house of multiple occupancy. Sprinkler systems also give the landlord peace of mind whilst helping to lower insurance premiums.  With sprinklers costing on average less than 2% of the properties worth, it is a small price to pay for such an insurance.

Homeowners

In addition to the lifesaving benefits of fire sprinklers, which should never be over looked, a fully installed sprinkler system also offers many design opportunities for your home.  Not only can this give you more design flexibility it can help you overcome problems with planning permission.

With the development of CPVC sprinkler systems in recent years, they are no longer invasive to install and also offer minimal visual impact on a finished property. All works carried out will be sympathetic to the client’s requirements whilst meeting industry regulation.
